Alexis D'Sauvignon was born to one of the last surviving Napoleonist families of Old Earth — a lineage that had persisted through the long dissolution of the Napoleonist movement, carrying with it a particular sense of having already outlasted the world it belonged to. She grew up in space, among outer-system communities, her family displaced from whatever stability the Old Earth identity had once afforded them.

When the Battle of Apollo Minor came, the Technocracy's strike forces massacred her entire biological family. She was approximately seventeen years old. She survived. Jaymeson and Cera Nicks — already among the most consequential spacers in the nascent Protectorate — found her in the aftermath and took her in. She was adopted into their family, and into their war.

What Jaymeson and Cera gave her was not merely safety. It was a framework — their honor, their discipline, and through Cera especially, their Architecture faith. Alexis did not receive these things passively. She took them and built something with them that was entirely her own.

Music as Sacred Pattern
Alexis came to Architecture through Cera Nicks, who practiced it herself. But Alexis made the faith her own through the particular lens of her musicianship. Architecture holds that the Architect is the source of all meaning and form — that creation proceeds from a transcendent origin toward humanity, not the reverse. For Alexis, music was the evidence of that claim: patterns that arise from somewhere beyond the composer, moving through her and out into the world, where they do something she could not have calculated in advance.

She did not play music for the troops as morale-boosting entertainment. She played because she believed the patterns mattered — that Architecture's sacred forms, translated through melody, did something real for the people who heard them on the edge of a battle. Her compositions, recorded and distributed through Solarnet, carry that weight. They are annotated in the Solar Sounds archive accordingly.

The Fury of Nerio
The Fury of Nerio is the Protectorate militia Alexis D'Sauvignon founded and commands. Its name invokes Nerio — the ancient martial consort of Mars, the embodiment of valor — and reflects Alexis's synthesis of the warrior and the sacred. It is not a conventional Protectorate unit. The Fury is built around Alexis's personal ethos: disciplined, Architecture-observant, and led by a commander who plays music before the assault begins.

The militia has earned genuine military standing in the Protectorate structure. By SY 134, it is a recognized and commissioned force. Alexis leads it directly — she does not command from a distance.

The Solar Sounds archive carries them with canonical designations. They are not filed under "entertainment." They are filed under Architecture's sacred tradition, which is where Alexis herself would have placed them.
